Manual bath lifts

Manual bath lifts

Manual bath lifts are placed inside the bath and can assist the user to gradually descend to near the bottom of the bath and then assist them up to the height of the bath rim. They are comprised of a solid seat on a hydraulic mechanism.

Many manual models have a metal scissor mechanism frame which relies on the weight of the user to lower it gently down in the bath. To raise up, the person needs to sit upright and push down on the bath rims to release a hydraulic piston mechanism which provides some assistance and is combined with the buoyancy of the water to help raise the user.
