Buggies

This section includes three- and four-wheeled buggies and buggy bases. They provide postural support, and may be more robust with higher weight capacities than conventional buggies. Some buggies have adjustable seat and backrest options which may accommodate child growth, and some have a tilting seat unit.

Multi-occupancy (or double) buggies are designed to carry either two disabled children, or a disabled child and a non-disabled child.

Postural support options include trunk support pads, lumbar (lower back) supports, pelvic belts, angle adjustable backrests, head rest extensions and supports, reclining seats and backrests, chest harnesses and vests, seat and back wedges, adjustable footplates and footrests, and push handles. Some have the option of being provided with a tray, an oxygen tank holder and anti-tip wheels.
