Available for short term rental, the Spica wheelchair is purpose built to support children and young adults transitioning from hospital to home. Each chair is:

  • Clinically prescribed to meet individual needs
  • Fully configured and commissioned by a specialist practitioner
  • Set up in 60-90 minutes to ensure optimal fit, alignment, and usability

Suitable for:

  • Children (2+) to adults up to 6'2"
  • Up to 110kg (17 stone)
  • Individuals in:
    - Hip spica casts
    - Post operative braces
    - Recovery following spinal surgery

Exclusively for short term recovery
The Spica isn't a standard wheelchair, it is specifically designed to safely accommodate cast width, support stable positioning during recovery, and enable use both indoors and outdoors (excluding rough terrain). This ensures your child remains supported, comfortable, and safe during what can be a challenging time.
