A handy universal solution for windows and doors to restrict initial opening for safety. The product is a fully compliant child resistant locking device for windows and balcony doors in accordance with BS EN 16281: 2013. Suitable for both domestic and commercial applications. The safety locking restrictor is ideally suited to families and gives reassurance to parents that their children will be safe around open windows and doors in the home. Easily self installed on either a window or door to give an initial restricted opening of 89mm, preventing children fully opening the window or door. Crafted to suite any PVCu, timber or aluminium window (not suitable for inward opening, sliding or tilting windows), the push to open cable style lock is lockable with a cut key for security. Ergonomically designed for easy operation, the button is simply pushed and the cable inserted into lock body and the key turned to lock. To unlock simply insert the key and remove, press the button and release the cable. The locking restrictor can also be used instead of a traditional door chain to secure timber door too. Available in either White, Brown, Polished Gold or Polished Chrome finishes to match any style of window or door. Operation - Key required to lock and unlock. To Lock – Push button in and insert cable into lock body. Let go of button and pull cable until you hear a click. Check cable is secure. Insert Key and turn 180° clockwise to lock. Check cable is secure again and remove key. To unlock - insert the key and turn 180° anti-clockwise. Remove the key, press the Concealed button to release while pulling out the cable. Classified in accordance with BS EN: 13126-1: 2011 Grade 3 Impact Resistance (includes BS EN 13126-5), for building hardware restricted devices on windows and doors. Please note - the cable is black for Brown, Polished Chrome and Polished Gold finishes; and White for the White finish. Maximum window/ door size is 2100mm high x 1000mm wide (please refer to fitting instructions for correct placement of product to meet the requirement of the BS standard)
