Battery operated, talking tin labeller. Label attaches to tins, bottles or packages to identify contents of container, for example product name, expiry date, volume of contents. Attachment through slot on back, by elasticated strap with Velcro fastening, or magnet on metal holding plate secured to container by adhesive pad; single or packs of three; spare straps and adhesive pads available; instructions available in Braille or audio on request. Options: red tin labeller with 40-second recording time.

Talking tins were originally designed so that people with visual imparments could discover what was in a tin. Each device features an internal magnet that will hold it firmly to any steel surface, but with the included adaptors and velcro loop straps, these aids can be used in a number of situations. There are two types of Talking Tin - yellow, with 10 seconds of recording time, and red, with 30 seconds. The red version also stores multiple messages in levels. Both types feature a black message activation button, plus two small recording buttons that have to be pushed at the same time to alleviate any unintentional recording. A small red LED lights up to indicate when recording is taking place.
