Steps and rails
This section includes equipment to assist with entering a building.
Shallow/half steps reduce the height of a standard step. Most have short legs which are independently adjustable and may also be appropriate as a levelling device. They are usually manufactured in heavy duty plastic or metal, and are intended for outdoor use. A slip-resistant surface may be integral or added as a rubberised finish or mat.
Outdoor rails may be designed to be mounted on the ground (which may provide extra support when used with steps), or on the wall.
