Daywear

This section includes men's, women's and children's daywear with assistive features that may make the garment easier to put on or take off. Also included is daywear for warmth or protection, daywear for people with sensitive skin, and daywear available in larger sizes. Some clothing may be made-to-measure, some is suitable for wheelchair users.

Daywear in this section includes: trousers and shorts, shirts, tops and T-shirts, skirts, dresses, trousers, jumpers, cardigans and waistcoats, specialised clothing for people with scoliosis, an amputation or who have had a laryngectomy.

Assistive features include:

• Velcro, press-studs, zips, magnetised or button-through fastenings may be easier to use than standard fastenings
• Shoulder, and sleeve openings may assist a person to dress themselves
• Back openings may assist a carer to dress a person, and may also help to prevent a person from undressing themselves inappropriately
• Front fastenings may assist a person to dress themselves
• Elasticated or draw-cord waists and wrap-around designs may assist with dressing
• Higher back and longer leg clothing may be suitable for wheelchair users
• Clothing with protective features for laryngectomy covers and stomas
• Materials that are suitable for certain skin types, such as sensitive skin, may increase comfort
• Materials to provide extra warmth, including battery-operated heated clothing
• Larger clothing sizes.
