Mercedes-Benz V-class WAV. Options: memory seat package; range of colours.
The Brotherwood 'Klastar' Mercedes-Benz V-Class WAV conversion is designed and engineered from the ground up at our manufacturing facility in Dorset, England, to be the ultimate Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle. The Klastar conversion is unique in it's development, handbuilt and finished by a select team of our most experienced engineers; ensuring a quality of finish and craftsmanship a class above other Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles. The Mercedes-Benz V-Class is the pinnacle quality, luxury and safety, packed with innovative technologies to enhance driver assistance, ride quality and safety. The Brotherwood Klastar conversion is designed with passenger safety in mind; the Power Assisted Wheelchair Restraint System is dynamically tested, whilst the 'STORQ' Self-Tensioning Restraint System automatically tensions the wheelchair restraints; ensuring a safe and stable ride for the wheelchair user. The Brotherwood Klastar conversion is designed with families in mind. The lowered floor and central wheelchair position enables the wheelchair user to travel inclusively, as part of the family group. We also aim to provide an equal head-height for able-bodied and wheelchair seated passengers alike; this enables easier conversation and promotes the feeling of inclusivity and wellbeing for the wheelchair user. In addition to 2 full-size passenger seats in the second row alongside the wheelchair user, a further 2 folding cantilever action seats can be optionally equipped in the third row. The high quality seats match the original Mercedes-Benz interior, are extremely comfortable and large enough to seat adults; yet can be folded aside in seconds when not in use or to allow wheelchair access. At the heart of the Brotherwood Klastar WAV conversion is a perfectly level, lowered floor. This unique Brotherwood design offers numerous benefits for the wheelchair user. By lowering the floor, the visibility for the wheelchair user out of the windscreen and side windows is greatly increased, making every journey more enjoyable. More headroom is also generated; creating a comfortable, spacious cabin ideal for taller wheelchair users. The centre of gravity for the wheelchair user is also reduced, which considerably reduces the sensation of body roll as the vehicle leans from side to side. Ensuring that the floor is level offers greater comfort for the wheelchair user, with a naturally ergonomic seating position. Enabling the wheelchair user to travel centrally within the vehicle also ensures a more comfortable ride, as fewer bumps and undulations in the road surface are felt when positioned further forward in the vehicle.
