People Handing: Refresher

Course Overview
This course is designed for professionals that need to refresh their skills. This includes any staff member who supports others with their mobility needs in a Health and Social Care Setting. Our trainers will come to your preferred venue to deliver this.

Course Length
This is a full day face-to-face practical session.

Learning Outcomes

  • Know how legislation relating to moving and handling applies to their role
  • The principals of safe handling
  • How to risk assess for moving and handling
  • Demonstrate the correct movement of an inanimate object
  • Demonstrate the correct way to assist an individual with moving
  • Demonstrate the correct use of a range of equipment

All People Handling training courses require learners to get involved and try techniques for themselves. Please ensure you arrive appropriately dressed, with loose, comfortable clothing and flat shoes. If you feel you may struggle with some positions, please alert your trainer on arrival, or email us on training@livingmadeeasy.org.
