The Disabled Living Foundation (DLF) has been providing training to professionals for over 30 years. All courses are written by industry experts and delivered by experienced trainers who have worked in the fields they are teaching in. Our courses are all nationally accredited and quality endorsed. We use a mixture of face-to-face and online delivery to provide the best experience and convenience for our learners.
We offer bespoke training packages where our trainers work with you to tailor the training to your organisational needs and requirements.
A must for all professionals, our People Handling courses will meet all your clinical needs. We have developed specialist courses along with refreshers. DLF Training's courses are CPD accredited. Trainees are presented with a Certificate of Attendance to attach to their CPD log as evidence of development once training is complete.
Developed over 25 years ago to reduce waiting times, increase independence and decrease risk and hospital admissions, the Trusted Assessor training suite is our most popular courses. They are aimed at professional healthcare providers and carers. DLF was involved in developing the framework and has been delivering the training ever since.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a suite of training course which teach learners how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue.
Learners also gain an understanding of how to support positive wellbeing and tackle stigma in the world around you.
All our MHFA Training is delivered by qualified MHFA England Instructors, who have attended Instructor Training programmes accredited by Royal Society of Public Health and are trained to keep delegates safe and supported through the training course.
Our Trauma informed care training has been designed by our clinical staff and delivers a strengths-based framework that is grounded in an understanding of and responsiveness to the impact of Trauma.
It emphasises the impact this has on both survivors and support providers.
Learners gain an extensive understanding of Trauma, signs and symptoms, causes and impacts of this.
They will then learn the Six principles in depth, and how these can be embedded into the work that they provide within their own services.
